Ever wonder...

How did this holotape get here?

The wastelands are riddled with holotapes containing valuable information, data, stories and at times what would seem like utter nonsense. Hell, sometimes those holotapes are only a part in a much larger series.

If someone were to find a holotape of mine, what would it be about?

  • My last thoughts before the bombs?

  • A message to another wastelander?

  • An override to hack a robot?

Thinking one day about random wasteland adventure stories as I often do, I started to develop the idea of a wastelander, (often times myself) a traveler who knew what the world was like before the bombs fell. Who, having this knowledge, set out across the wastelands to locate, explore and document how places have changed, or if they still exist at all.

While copies of these holotapes would be found in various destinations to help other wastelanders, the journey had started in creating a library of holotapes that would be known as the Capital Wasteland Travel Guide.

But what is the
Capital Wasteland Travel Guide?

The Capital Wasteland Travel Guide is a YouTube video series created by TheLastQuantum. It is a fun look into the discovery and display of all Fallout locations across the wastelands.

This series explores the lore, history and other details of these locations, while comparing the area between maps and other similarities and differences between their existence in the Fallout wastelands and Real World.

Locations in Fallout that do not exist in our reality (either physically or by name) are still explored to show the area where they would exist and if any possible structures in the area happen to share anything in common with that of the Fallout counterpart.

This series is also an evolving one, as it finds its own style and place in exploring fun additions such as brief intermissions, story telling, editing, effects and more.

The Capital Wasteland Travel Guide can be enjoyed by everyone as you'll find yourself surprised by Fallout's unique ties to our Real World through the experience of its alternate timeline.
